Free Flower Color by Number Printables

🌸 Choose a Flower Color by Number Page

These free flower color by number printables are detailed Mystery Mosaic pages made from small coded cells. Each free color by number printable comes as an A4 PDF with a color key that matches each letter to a shade. At first you mostly see the grid and its codes; as you fill the cells, the flower’s petals, center, leaves, and overall shape become easier to recognize.

The collection ranges from familiar flowers such as sunflower and tulip to orchid, hibiscus, lotus, peony, magnolia, poppy, and bird of paradise. A sunflower color by number creates a very different pattern from the broader shapes of a tulip or the layered petals of an orchid. Each flower color by number printable also includes a completed color reference, and some designs are available with circles or squares and white or black backgrounds.

🎥 Flower Mystery Color by Number Reveal Videos

The short videos below show a mystery color by number grid being filled from the coded page to the finished flower. You can see separate patches of color connect into petals, stems, leaves, and flower centers without having to compare only the blank and finished versions.

Some flowers change more noticeably than others. The layered parts of an orchid are difficult to read in the starting grid, while hibiscus has a strong center and bird of paradise uses pointed orange and blue sections that become much clearer once the surrounding cells are colored.

🌷 How These Flower Mystery Mosaics Work

The printable pages use letters rather than printed numbers. Match the letter in each cell to the supplied color key, then fill it with the corresponding shade. The method is similar to color by code worksheets or a color by letter activity, but here the codes are arranged inside a detailed Mystery Mosaic.

The cells are fairly small, so these pages are better suited to older kids, teens, and adults than to very young children. Colored pencils and fine-tip markers are easier to control in narrow sections, especially in flowers with several layers of petals or small changes between neighboring shades.

The designs do not all turn into the same kind of pattern. Sunflowers form repeated rings around a dark center, tulips rely on broad petal shapes, and iris, orchid, peony, poppy, and magnolia have more overlapping sections. Lotus, hibiscus, gerbera, and bird of paradise bring different centers, petal directions, and stronger color contrasts to the flower mosaic coloring pages.

Some designs use circles, while others are available with square cells. White backgrounds are easier on home printers; black backgrounds give the finished colors more contrast. The Color Sample and completed color reference can also be used as an answer key when you want to check a shade before continuing.

These flower color by number coloring pages are available as free printable A4 PDFs to download and print at home. Print at 100% scale rather than using a fit-to-page setting; this keeps the original grid proportions and preserves the intended size of the circles or squares.
